About Me

I found out I had a bi cuspid aortic valve as an accidental finding during testing for a pulmonary embolism. At the time stenosis was mild and I was a-symptomatic for a little over 4 years post finding. Stenosis has progressed past few years to where I am experiencing symptoms. After consultation the past year with my Cardiologist and a cardiac surgeon we decided on aortic valve replacement using the Ross procedure. The valve replacement will enable me to to live a full and active life. My goal post recovery is to train and do an Ironman with my brother in-law. I have found heartvalvesurgey.com to be extremely helpful to gather information, review options for how it can be successfully treated and what my family and me can expect for the procedure and recovery process. Looking forward to a successful surgery on November 19th!
