I recently had a Sternum surgery due to having a large mass removed. Mass was size of an large orange plus my thymus was also removed due to how the tumor was wrapped around it. All this happened within 1 week diagnosed & surgery my body definitely has been thru shock recently received pathology report all the tumor was benign so very relieved to say. Been home since for few weeks my life is very restricted with what I can do this surgery has been very painful plus emotionally hard. I continue to read all sorts of stories & seems of course we all have different recovery stories , I'm 47 & in good health no issues what so ever so this came very surprising to me. I continue my recovery at home my daughter takes & helps me with dressing & shower as well as getting into bed. Nights have been very challenging since I cant move freely so difficult & painful. I joined this group for support thank you.
