Tore my biceps muscle a little and starting talking to my doctor--one thing led to another and I'm having heart surgery. Always knew I had a heart murmur but wasn't prepared for this so soon; I am pretty fit and haven't experienced any performance drop-off that I noticed. Getting the Inspiris Resilia valve replacement.
Eight weeks out and I'm getting back to normal. Everything went great and it's just a matter of recovery now. I started running after 4 weeks but am still under sternum protection until March.
My scar is just a pink line now, but it still will take some time to get used to seeing it.
