About Me (In My Own Words)
I'm a male, 43 years old. GP said i have heart murmur. My cardiologist confirmed that I have a leaky valve, one of the 3 leaflets were shorter, causing the leaks. I did my aortic valve replacement on 28 OCTOBER 2022 with a 23mm On-X mechanical valve and will be on life long warfarin. Had a TIA episode in December and admitted to hospital again with no damage to my brain. Post surgery, I developed a small blood clot inside my heart and have to monitor it closely.
Like many, after surgery and with meds, I have episodes of vertigo, cognitive impairment, and recently GI disturbance, flatulent semi solid stools bloating etc.
