I am 44 years old and father of two. In June 2020, just after two days of birthday, I had a heart attack. Luckily, my wife was home and she acted wisely and called ambulance. I went under a procedure and received two stents to clear the blockage. Since then I changed my lifestyle and started to eat healthy, and exercise for physical and mental fitness. However, Waheguru (God) had other plans for me. I was diagnosed with aortic valve regurgitation in August 2022. I did not show any symptoms and I was very active at that time. Therefore, my cardiologist decided to monitor it. In Feb 2023, after a echo it was clear that leakage was medium to severe. I was referred to a surgeon and I went under aortic valve replacement surgery on 25th May 2023. It has been 3 months since surgery and I have started to walk, exercise (minimal) and feel normal. There are some ups and down somedays where I don't feel good/okay but I believe it's part of recovery and life. I am grateful that I am alive and living my life.
