Sommer Russell  12 weeks later and this is a wrap. 5weeks at cardiac rehab and heading back to work tomorrow. It has been a journey and it is far from over! I am getting stronger each day.

Bradley Dunn  You'll do fine! This time ten weeks ago I couldn't stand by myself. This time next week I'll be in Vegas with my wife!

Rob Sparling  This time 8 weeks ago I was in ICU, Today I walked 13,349 steps, 18 flights of stairs, 6.02 miles and was active for 99 minutes. Sommer, you are gonna rock this! The chair will go back and you will forget you ever hadn’t it. Good thing you took pics! 👍

Dan Vechiola  Sommer, i am confident you will do great. As Brad and Rob said this surgery will give you your life back. I am at 10 weeks also and my life is normal. I feel gret and am doing everything I would normally without pain. Unfortunately we all have to go through the process. However, the process and the recovery was/is nowhere near what I expected. It was much quicker of a hospital stay and recovery. Think positive and you will be on your way too!

patrizia cioffi  Meatballs and gravy; meatloaf, home made soups. I just finished one my dear friend made for me which I froze. 6 months out, I'm still not up to cooking much; I've a bad back. The heart valves are great and strength coming back. You're young, will have an easier time of it. Prepare with the "Preparing for Surgery," Heal Faster. The meditations at the end and affirmations REALLY WORK! You'll go into surgery confident and hopeful, rested and sure all will be well.

David Moore  It's soup weather. Make some chunky, low sodium versions and freeze them. They freeze easy, thaw easy, and taste great with any type of sandwich. I made Tomato Basil, Cheeseburger Soup, and Chunky Chicken Stew. You could also make up a bunch of turkey spaghetti sauce and then they only have to boil the noodles. - Cheryl

Lisa Guinan  We've got 2 dogs too. The youngest is just 16 months. Unfortunately he likes to jump up and give kisses and I'm afraid I won't be able to be around him much after surgery until my sternum heals a bit.

Sommer Russell  The girl, Luna, she is the jumper. I am trying to break her of that fast and furiously before I have my surgery. I take my knee and give her belly a nudge when she jumps up. She really hates that and gets the point. My boy, Titan, he is the gently giant with this insanely scary bark. I wonder how Luna will do with my surgery because she is very protective over me and acts cat like crawling up and laying behind my shoulder blades on the couch. I tell her all the time that she is just too big to do that. She doesn't listen. They really have been good for the soul. No doubt about that!!! I would love to see everyone's pet pictures! For those that have had the surgery, how did your pets do with your recovery? Part of me think they may sense something is up.

LINDA ROBERTS  They are beautiful and so affectionate. Loving that picture. My dog, JJ, who is a yorkie says he would like to play with them.

Civita Fahey  Sommer my two did fine.. my girl Ziva is the jumper also, and she just sat next to me.. I had my heart pillow near me when I got home and she jumped just once, she sensed I was tense and didn't do it any more. .My boy Rommel, is 11 now so he was 10 and he doesn't jump but he stayed by my side the whole time..they can sense things and they just want to be near you.. they were great for recovery. I'll post a picture for you.. I don't think I can do it here, but I can on my wall.
