James Harris you mentioned amiodorone. I took that for about 30 days after my surgery. Can't remember the exact times but that was some bad stuff for me. I had horrible nightmares from it, plus other things that made sleeping something to avoid rather than embrace. I guess it was all for the better because I didn't develop afib but wow, that was not pleasant.
Hope you will tolerate it better.

Henry Brouwer Hi Jeff, the lower 2 scars are actually from the 2 x drainage tubes. These tubes were taken out the second day. These tubes were actually stitched to my body to avoid them being pulled out, so when they were ready to pull these tubes, they actually had to cut the stitches first (not painful).

Henry Brouwer Hi Civita, yes it is a Bruins hat...........I guess he couldn't find his Leafs hat, but trust me he is a Leaf fan thru and thru (was very upset with their OT loss last night). Thx all for all your other kind comments and best thoughts and prayers for both those going into surgery and those in recovery mode.

Larry Ring OHS on Tuesday morning....and out of ICU on Wednesday night? If that's the timeline, it has to be a world record! Good job, Henry...and glad to see the smile on your face.
So, did they end up fixing the enlarged aorta while they were replacing the valve? Did they use a Dacron sheath? Just wondering what they finally did.
