MVP for over 30 years. No symptom just a heart murmur. Physically active weights (I know it doesn't look like I lift!), running, hiking, downhill skiing and an active job as a physical therapist. Last summer murmur got louder, repeat echo, surprise! Severe mitral regurgitation. S-I-L friend had similar story and told me about Dr Gillinov. Pre-op testing in two weeks, hoping to qualify for robotically assisted approach.
