Pat B. & I met on this website (Pat is wearing glasses). We realized we both had follow up appts @ the same time today. Thanks to Adam Pick, Pat & I connected. The other two in pic are Dr. Verrier my surgeon & Dr. Mackensen ICU Anesthiologist.

I had my first post op surgery appointment today. This is my surgeon, Dr. Ed Verrier and me. I received a good report!!! Hooray!

Steak in bed...yum, Thanks chef Magnus. A little birdy named Juan told me to eat red meat since I'm anemic. I didn't know Dan bought a steak for me, very nice surprise.

I'm anemic too, very low on iron so I had iron transfusions which I would recommend. My Surgeon came in and said "You need to eat steak. A big juicy piece of steak".

Oysters have a lot of iron. Canned smoked oysters are near the tuna fish in the grocery store. An easy protein serving for lunch. And Boars Head makes a low fat liverwurst. Also very very high in iron.
