Terry, I am so glad that your are progressing so well. I agree with you that we are so blessed to live in the times where these issues can be repaired or replaced. I found that when I drove after surgery it was a great feeling! Cardiac rehab was absolutely a good choice. It gave me the confidence to not be afraid to do everything I USED to and more. I am doing very well. Have gained some weight since surgery. My new goal is to lose the weight and get back to my gym routine of four days a week. My oldest son just got married on Sunday. I tell you it was a blessing to be at his wedding. I count my blessings everyday. I will keep you posted on news of Duane. We live in the same city, and he had his surgery by the same surgeon as I did. I am so thankful to have this wonderful heart family! Look forward to hearing from you! Hugs from Michigan, Mary

You're way ahead on all cards. You've won every round so far and the crowd is rocking. Can't wait for the post-fight interview. Hi Terry~ I am writing on behalf of my sister Pam who had her surgery on May 6th. She is having a lot of post-op difficulty and hasn't been able to be on this site as she was hoping to be to give updates~ but also to support others. But she expressed to me on the phone today that she really wanted you to know you are in her thoughts and prayers as you approach surgery tomorrow. Hi Terry, I was also had virtually no symptoms before surgery apart from occasional heart palpitations and strong beats (which could get uncomfortable). The moment i woke up from surgery i felt something was different - the palpations were gone. I also didn't have to do surgery immediately after the diagnosis but I choose to do it ASAP to reduce the time I would have worrying about it. All in all, its not pleasant for a few days but not so bad.
