Susan Killian Nancy I am finally starting to feel like myself. Appetite coming back, was unable to eat for 1st week and then slowly came back. Pain in shoulders and back is better today. Incision is good as is heart. I have my return check up on the 15th. They will do a chest x-ray and trans thoracic echo.

Susan Killian Thank you for asking Steven, Operations went well, I can't handle anesthesia or pain meds, or meds of anykind so had severe n/v for about 9 days and not much of an appetite after that. But incision is healing well and heart seems good!

Hi, Susan. I had mitral valve repair surgery 7 years ago. I am so happy that I had this done. Yes, I was nervous but I knew my quality of life would decline if I postponed the surgery. I was 64 years old. One month from today you will be in recovery mode. I strongly recommend that you participate in cardiac rehab. Take care.
