Ok here Elsie and I go. Stephanies computer is having some issues, so I told her I would try and update you all. She was set to have her surgery at the Cleveland Clinic on Oct 21st. Well her youngest, Danny, has been battling a cold and Stephanie has come down with an upper respitory infection. Yesterday morning she called me and told me she was on the way to the ER. She said " she went in told them she did not want to be poked and what she thought she had and they said ok. Took an xray gave her some antibiotics and said bye. To get back on her meds get INR checked on Monday and they will go from there. Good thing I was still at home as I was getting ready for the trip to Ohio. Everybody please keep her in your prayers. She tells me her surgery could be pretty intense. She is going to try and put a mechanical valve back on to replace the one that she has, and if that doesn't work it will be a cow valve (of which she has already named Elsie Jr). And that they might have to make her aortic root larger. I hope not as that is more risky and invasive. Hopefully Stephanie will be back on here very soon before she has to go. Stephanie, you are very normal. If you were not nervous I would probably be wondering about you. You have been thru all of this before and going thru my surgery. Now you know what it is like for me, not fun. I am just so glad that you will be at the big C. I just wish the doctor in Nebraska did something a little different beings he had to stretch your aorta to get your valve on. Maybe if he did it what you are going thru now, you would not be going thru all of this again. Just remember God is on your side and he will get you thru this once again and also keep all of my memories going. Love you

Stephanie this is your Guardian Angel speaking ( love that Gigi). You know I will be there for you. After what you just told me I could not have it any other way. I love you to much. You are on all the prayers lists and everyone is praying for you. Your angel has been very busy. I will see you soon and please don't worry. If I can do it so can you. We will be sharing the same kinda of zipper. But it will be ok just no bikinis.

Stephanie you are in good hands, The doctor was very wise to consult with another doctor specializing in that field Our prayers and best wishes will be with you thru out the ordeal, your children will help and learn much about this medical problem and your Mom is your Guardian Angel to guide you thru this where will the surgery be performed? Stephanie don't worry about this. Hopefully it wont be anything. You know as well as I do that stress does a lot of horrible things. You have been under a lot of undo stress for quite a long time, and It will take a toll on you. When I was going through all of this before my surgery, the doctors told me no stress. You know I will always be there for you no matter what. I love you to much and don't want to loose you. Being I am your Mother Im not ready for that. Please listen to all the advice you are going to get and you know what I mean. You take care of yourself. Love Mom

Hey Stephanie, No more pay backs if you promise no more surgeries. I love you and you know I want the best for you and those 3 kids. I know God wants the same thing for you. If it helps you and I told the nurse why my BP was high again today. I broke down telling her. After all you mean the world to me. She did tell me she had a friend who had to coumadian and had to have surgery. She said she had to take the lovenox shots but she did fine with no problem. When a doctor says theres a chance you may not make it, you need to be asking him some questions such as have you ever done a surgery like this with someone on coumadian. If its not the right answer look for another doctor. You know I will be there for you I would let you down and I will be putting you on a prayer list. You need to talk to your minister about all of this and other stuff as well. God will be there for you and you will know the difference even more so. It really does work. Keep putting things on here. It will help you and you will help others as well. Love Mom and Elsie

Hi Stephanie.. I was sad to read your journal that you are now facing another surgery. I had my complete hyster when I was 26 yrs old. My daughter was just 2 1/2 & my son was only 8 months. I, however, was not on blood thinners, and did not have the additional stress of complications they cause. It is hard to look at those little faces, and know how much they depend on you.....and know for awhile...you will once again be in recovery...fighting your way back to health..more for them....then yourself. (they will keep you determined) :) But one thing I know for sure...you come from good stock (your mother)...you too are a fighter....evident from your own OHS...I am confident you can meet this new challenge head on with the same fight you had four years ago! You like your mother...know God is in control...He will not forsake you....prayers are answered. I will pray along with your mother that God will watch over you & your family as you face this new hurdle. I am sure your mom will put you on a prayer list at church....strength in numbers, you know :).... anyway...you stay strong Stephanie.... We care...& are praying! Hey Stephanie.. Welcome to HVJ.... I am sorry I missed your initial \"sign on\". I haven\'t been on much these days. I think I am suffering from cardiac depression. I was hoping I wouldn\'t be \"one of those\" who fell victim...but with my knee surgery in Feb, and open heart in July....and some set backs....it all became a little overwhelming. I will get there though!... I remain optomistic that this too shall pass. Anyway, I just wanted to take a moment & ask you to get a big ole physical hug to your mom from me. We joke around alot, but she has meant so much to me going through my surgery. If I were a rich woman, I would truly jump on a plane and be there for her in person! I think many HVJ folks would.....but i really mean it! We have shared so many laughs here, and nothing would bring me more joy right now..than to be able to hug her in person as she faces her own surgery. Since I cannot....I ask you do it for me! :) :) I will be thinking & praying for you & your dad as well..... I have been in your spot...it is more difficult (I think) to be the one in that waiting room...
