Good to know! I received the same valve on July 25th - I'm 68, so it was open heart surgery at Columbia Presbyterian. The surgeon told my doctor I was very critical, hardly any oxygen getting through. He told me that, if I need a new valve when I'm 83... Read more.

Great News Natalie. I am coming up to Cleveland in Mid-December for replacement of my Aortic Valve with Dr Svensson with the Inspiris Resilia bovine valve as well. So happy to hear you are doing well! A GREAT suggestion on getting a recliner. Will the hotel provide that, or do... Read more.

I called my hotel before I went, and they provided one for free, it was the Intercontinetal. Just check with your hotel. Best of luck!

Bill, Another option is rhe InterContinental Suites. It has rooms that have a recliner as part of the normal furniture. See my journal post from my follow-up visit last week.

I am also from Florida- Tampa. Had to same surgeon at Cleveland Clinic with the same valve as you are getting. I never needed a recliner but everyone is different.
