Michael Lundblad  I was diagnosed over 10 years ago with an enlarged aortic root @ 4.4cm. No other symptoms until now. My BP was perfect, I was a runner for many years to overall I'm in great shape. Currently have irregular heartbeats and shortness of breath at minimal exertion. Dizziness comes and goes. My LVEF is normal between 54-57%. but the root of my aorta is 5cm with the ascending aorta also enlarged. Left ventricle is enlarged also. I don't know how the regurgitation is measured but the echo shows nearly half or more of the blood that goes out comes back in, hence the irregular heartbeat with premature ventricular contractions (PVCs). I'm headed to Charleston this afternoon for the surgery tomorrow morning so not able to reply again, but will come back online when I'm home at the end of the week. Praying for you too. God is able. I'm at peace. P.S. you're 58 so a mechanical non-invasive solution may be right for you if you act before age 70 where I am.

Vance Austin  Thanks from reply Mike. I am still learning how to navigate this site. This is the first time I saw your response. Our EF are the same but I do not have any aortic root problems. I am seeing a surgeon Oct 1 for education and for him to read my test. My cardiologist is not referring me at this time. I just don’t feel the same over the last 10 months. I don’t want to make it worse before they do something. Get some rest and God speed Mike!

  Michael, just read Tom.2.0 from Anaheim, CA. post and is right on. You both love the Lord and there is nothing like it. Trust the Lord with all your heart and he will get you through this surgery and bring you to the side of recovery. We will keep you in prayer and will look forward to hear from you as soon as you can post op. God bless you both

Michael Lundblad  Thanks Ana. In my quiet time this morning I was in James 1:1-12 meditating on God's purpose in testing and trials. I continue to love my Creator God, who is still creating a right spirit within me, maturing me as we all look forward to the crown of life. Shalom sister. God bless you.

  Hi Michael, just finished reading what you were reading. You are right his Holy Spirit is always teaching us. We have to remain faithful to his Word. He knows our heart and He will always be with us. As The Word says we need to mature in our faith. Please continue to stay faithful. When I had my surgery I wasn’t really scared, when I was given the anesthesia and before I went under I saw Jesus sitting on my bed holding my hand and I was at peace. Me daughter said that when I came out of surgery I told her that Jesus was holding my hand through the whole surgery. What a great feeling that was and still is. You will be just fine. We are children of the most High God! God bless you too.
