Hi Maryann, sorry to hear of your setback. Please take it easy. It takes a full twelve weeks for the sternum to heal. The housework will get done, eventually. Try not to exert yourself.

Hi Maryann, thanks for the update. Don't get depressed. One step at a time. Recuperation is different for everybody. You are "unique". There will be good days and a bad day in between. It is a cycle. Just remember, you are a "heart warrior" and the risk is behind you.... Read more.

Great news, Maryann! Three weeks post-op? Where did the time go? Can you take medications to reduce the swelling in your extremities? Just a thought. Be patient. Everything will work itself out.

I am taking 40 mg of lasix daily along with potassium. They don't want to give me more then that and tax my kidneys. Today the swelling was down some and I could walk further. That made me happy. But I feel like recouperating is slow going. I have a... Read more.
