Hi Lisa, I saw your recent post about sternum pain. I, too, had aortic stenosis, bicuspid aortic valve replacement and aortoplasty. I had pain from day one that continued for months. If this is something new and an exam shows everything is fine, I highly recommend acupuncture. After just a few visits, I no longer had pain which I found amazing. I hope you feel better soon and that you keep us posted on your progress.

Lisa Coombe I’m 15 weeks post op and I’m down in Albany, my surgery went well with no complications and have done so well since getting out of hospital and back home, I was lucky to have such a loving boyfriend that has been through ohs by my side and happily answered my questions so I’m greatful for him and he found it different seeing it from a different view instead of th patient view

Lisa Coombe I had my surgery 3 weeks ago, today is my first day home alone, you hear many say you will feel so much better after surgery, I didn’t understand that till a few days after when I was no longer on oxygen and my breathing was so much better and the severe fatigue I had was gone. HI Lisa, I'm sure you are happy to be back home in your own bed and recovering from a successful surgery. I feel as if your story mirrors mine. I found out a month ago that I have severe aortic stenosis along with a heart murmur and an ascending aortic aneurysm. I meet with the surgeon on the 15th who will be performing my surgery to replace the valve and repair the aneurysm . I hope he can schedule me within a few days from that meeting as I am having chest pain and shortness of breath. I hope you continue to have a great recovery. I would love to hear about your surgery.

I was doing thing in hospital that they never had to tell me how to do because I watched a lot of videos on how to do stuff like post surgery moving, how to get out of bed which surprised the nurses and made the job caring for me easy

Dave Raynor To Debra. I had almost the exact same surgery you did October 28th 2020. I know the drill...
