Joy - Actually Morton Plant is High Performing for heart surgery and aortic valve replacement by USNEWS. Tricuspid and mitral procedures are never ranked so aortic is the closest category. They also do a very high volume of procedures and are ranked excellent by inpatients surveys.

Thank you so much for confirming the reputation I've always heard of them. I was wrestling with someone's earlier post about a less favorable write-up on MP. You're welcome. The USNEWS ratings have a somewhat confusing layout and you have to drill down to get the heart surgery ratings. So a hospital may have low ratings in some non-cardiac categories but still be high performing for cardiac procedures.
