A dental hygienist who liaisons with a dentist ? may be a good place to start . Ask for advice . Pre surgery the cardiologist / surgeon and the anaesthetist will want to check your mouth / teeth .

I have a good dentist and she is aware. I am starting my cleaning exercise and I am sure she will know what to do. When I know more next week I will then make sure she gets in contact with my surgeon

Eric , trust your heart surgeon . He / she has the heart valve knowledge /experience and knows the best long term prognosis for patients . You need the surgery and it will keep you alive . Life and living is more important than the type of heart valve .... Read more.

I made a new post between the Freestyle versa Inspiris for aortic root. I have one professor surgeon who says Inspiris with graft (modified Bentall) or use Medtronic Freestyle porcine root .....I have a few days to choose and it makes me a bit nervous. Sorry for the all the... Read more.

No problem with the questions. I had a hard time deciding between mechanical and tissue valve. These are difficult choices for us, with no clear answer sometimes!
