Good luck on a successful surgery and a smooth recovery. Said a prayer for you 🙏.       Please keep us posted on your recovery. I like you had radiation but for breast cancer direct beam 2019. I developed a murmur during covid in 2022. No one told me to follow up with a cardiologist. I had no symptoms so by the time I saw a cardiologist for weight loss and mild SOB my murmur was grade 5+, it was audible!  I had OHS in October 2023 for mitral valve replacement , bovine valve, (Im 72) tricuspid repair, and a maze procedure. I went home in 4 days on Tylenol. Never required pain meds at home, had a minor setback with fluid overload which was managed at home. I traveled to Europe 7 months later, I feel great 2 yr post-op. The key to recovery is to walk, walk.  I walked every night in front of the nurses station so they noticed me. Hence I went home in 4 days cause I was motivated.

Hi Eric, Before you decide, please check out the Ross Procedure, with Dr. Stelzer, they use your own pulmonary valve for the Aortic position and you get a human donner pulmonary.  Dr. Stelzer is the best Dr. for this operation.  I had it done, tiny scar, I was told at my 1 year check up by the technition, if I had not told him I had heart surgery he would have never been able to tell, I have the heart of an 18 year old, and I am 65.  I do not have to take any medications at all, and I feel great, strong and normal.
