I thought I was just getting old! (I'm 60)
Last May, after chest pain going up steps, I self-referred for a calcium scan and found out that my aortic valve was a mess.
Then, a side trip for genetic testing. No date quite yet for surgery, but have opted for the Ross procedure and will proceed with that once an MRI confirms my pulmonary valve will be usable.
