A Dr. found my aortic root aneurysm while going through tests for invitro-fertilization. If I hadn't gone to one of the best fertility docs, I wouldn't have found it. I was in my mid-forties, so I've given up on motherhood, which is tough. My husband & I aren't going to adopt. Luckily you've found it at a young age. I wish I would've had my surgery right away vs. waiting almost 5 years. I had a sternotomy, 9 months ago.

Bob Fessler Hi Cassie, gee you sound kinda like me. My GP retired so I went to a new one and on the first visit he heard the murmur which he said sounds like a squeek. Now I find out I have severe aortic stenosis. I also have two autoimmune diseases which don't bother me so I don't bother them. Welcome to the board. I'm also a newbie and am learning a lot. I'm looking for things that people who have went thru it can teach me, things to investigate and things to question. It's a wonderful site.

Cassie LaFramboise haha i love that "don't bother me so I don't bother them" thats funny! I really needed the laugh tonight. I am glad I found a newly as well. I am definitely going to stay on here. Just reading other peoples post helps me not feel like I am "alone" in what I am feeling if that makes sense.
