Sounds like you've been through it. I also had complications that meant a second hospitalization only one day after I got home the first time. One day at a time. We can do it!!

I am on the other side of surgery. Had some complications that had made it more difficult in the hospital, and in turn a longer discharge but slowly getting better.

Allan - sorry to hear of the complications and so thoughtful of you to post to us to let us know. I keep telling myself no matter how hard the surgery that I have to have the surgery to keep living. It's such a weird surgery really, especially because I... Read more.

On the other side they found my regurgitation was extremely severe and this has to get done

Hi Allan, I also had a lot of nerve pain/numbness in my right leg. I was told that this was likely the result of the heart/lung bypass machine resting on that leg for part of the surgery as it was connected through an incision in my right groin. Did the... Read more.

They said it was my position probably. It makes it hard to walk.

Did you do anything to improve?
3 years ago (January 22, 2023)
It was uncomfortable for me to walk too. I found that repositioning frequently helped as well as sleeping with a pillow between my legs. Time is also your friend, the further out from surgery the better my leg felt. I hope this helps. Sending prayers and healing thoughts your way!
