On National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day, We Raised Awareness to 1 Million People!

By Adam Pick on March 15, 2018

Our patient community is downright amazing!

I can not thank you enough for celebrating National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day with me.   Thanks to your online efforts we raised heart valve disease awareness to over 1 million people.   This is so important because heart valve disease is under-diagnosed, mis-diagnosed and under-treated.  Consider that 40% of American adults have never even heard of heart valve disease.  Yikes!

A “Digital Hurricane” of Heart Valve Awareness

Ready to learn how you increased awareness to heart valve disease on February 22?  Alright!  Here are select digital metrics that illustrate how your digital activities “spread-the-word” about valvular disorders across HeartValveSurgery.com, our Facebook page and other social media.

  • 1,849,215 social impressions
  • 217,877 direct Facebook reach
  • 14,335 Facebook reactions
  • 2,943 Facebook timeline shares

In a single word… Awesome!

Thank You!  Thank You!  Thank You!

I can not thank you enough for supporting National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day.  You never let me down.  It is a gift and honor to be part of this community.  Together, we are making a difference in this world.  Together, we are educating and empowering people – just like you and me.

I’d also like to thank the Alliance for Aging for coordinating this awareness campaign.  And, I need to thank Edwards Lifesciences and Medtronic for sponsoring this very special day!

Keep on tickin!
Adam
