I'm starting week five after having a new tissue valve put in. I'm walking 18 min three times a day now, but my first walk was 4 min with my wife at my side. After two weeks of walking I started to walk by myself in our subdivision. I walked over 350 miles the 4 months prior to surgery and my valve was 50% closed. I never had a lot of the typical symtoms eventhought my valve was in bad shape. I quit walking three weeks before the surgery. I have very little pain around the incision, but I do have chest pain which seems to be muslce pain on my right upper chest area - opposite my heart. I think I pulled a muslce doing something or it is due to the surgery, I don't know. Anyone else have this? Ron
