I have my aortic valve replacement surgery scheduled this Thursday at Brigham and Woman's in Boston. I found out the lab in Beverly Hospital did not do the correct test required by my surgeon. So I went to the same hospital, same tech and was greeted by them saying" Well, what was wrong with the test we did" Duh, I'm a layman, asked the surgeon. When I got home, I found out the new dentist I am going to would'nt sign off on my exam. because she did'nt check for oral infections two weeks ago. Her staff asked me if I could come in and make an appointment for sometime in May! Well, needless to say after explaining to them in my best commanding police voice, I have an appointment tomorrow. Am I on some other planet or is the whole medical field just not with it????????? After I am home from the surgery, I'll keep everybody updated. Now I have to work on my railroad to keep my mind occupied.

Well, Had an appointment with my surgeon yesterday at 1:00 PM. He examined me and said he would get back to me with an operation date, as he had 35 patients waiting. I figured Mid-May. I guess he looked over my results and all the test. He called me this morning and said "we'll do it this coming Thursday! So quick, I wonder why?
