About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse nearly 12 years ago while we were living near Athens, Ga. Now living in Indian Harbor Beach,FL most of the year, my internist here sent me to a very gifted and caring cardiologist, Dr. Eugene Killeavy (Merritt Is., FL), because she was alarmed at the sound of my mitral valve prolapse. Dr. Killeavy was concerned as well, and 4 weeks ago he performed a TEE and heart cath. Next, he sent me to Dr. Kevin Accola, at FL Hospital. I can see God's providence to guide me along this path, beginning with Dr. Granberry, to Dr. Killeavy, and now to Dr. Accola and his team. Praises to them and FL Hospital in advance!! March 31 is the big day!! I love reading your experiences .. It's so comforting and encouraging to know going in what to expect -- more or less:).
