I was supposed to have surgery in May 2009 but didn't have many symptoms so decided to wait it out. Had a bad heart racing incident the end of March 2011 and got it checked out. Cardiologist said my heart had enlarged from 5.6 centimeters to 6.9 so, I'm going to get mitral valve repair surgery. It is going to be a ministernodomy by Dr. Irving Kron at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.
