Dr. M is one of the best in the country...I can't recommend him highly enough. The amount of time he spent (one-on-one) with me prior to my surgery really put me at ease and convinced me that he and his group genuinely cared about making their patients as comfortable as possible with the choices presented to them. Your work here with your web site and very informative book were also instrumental in making what can be a very stressful time (pre- and immediately post-surgery) more comforting. Thanks again! I too had Dr. Massimiano as my surgeon who performed MVR and he's wonderful. Almost a year later my scar is almost gone. The chest tube scar is more predominantly showing than the actual surgical scar! And yes I was just in Innova Fairfax only a short time too (2 1/2 days). It's amazing the wonders of modern medicine.
