Does anyone know what the criteria is now for TAVR procedure for aortic valve replacement? My bi-cuspid valve is being monitored still; just moved up my checkup from annual to every six months. My cardiologist believes I'm a candidate for TAVR (described me as medium risk).

I was under the impression and had previously read that patients with bicuspid valves are excluded from TAVR. Has this changed recently?

I had a bicuspid valve with a low raphe that was heavily calcified. I believe it depends on the many measurements and conditions of the heart. My structural heart team looked at many factors before deciding. I was also at a hospital which has done many TAVR procedures. They have... Read more.
