Does anyone know what the criteria is now for TAVR procedure for aortic valve replacement? My bi-cuspid valve is being monitored still; just moved up my checkup from annual to every six months. My cardiologist believes I'm a candidate for TAVR (described me as medium risk).
I wanted to come out of hiding and say hi. I have been dealing with the holy-cow-I-have-to-have-heart-surgery-someday thing for about a year now. Not long ago I found this website and it has been really helpful and informative to me.
I had my annual checkup at CC in March and I was super relieved that the narrowing wasn't worse and it isn't time for surgery. However, I tire easily and don't feel like I did even 18 months ago, so part of me thinks - would it be better if it were time? I wondered if anyone else has felt that way. My sister wondered how much of the fatigue is because of my heart and how much is just because I'm getting older and still working full time. There probably isn't any way to know that. :o)
