Which valve did you ultimately decide on? Mechanical or Tissue? Hope your recovery is a smooth one. We all go through it differently. AFIB is a real pest btw!! Hope that resolves.

Tom, We went with a Tissue Valve. My valve had microscopic holes in it with the flapping leaflet. Probably a birth defect

Your head will clear though sometimes it doesn't seem that way! I remember trying to tell my brother in law a story but he was having to supply about every fifth word. I told him "Nevermind. I'll tell you again when I can remember words!" We just laughed!

After all the test, research and reading all the experiences I got the call! Game Day next Tuesday 1/15. I'm taking an "All In Approach" and charging at this event. Looking forward to the challenge! Hope this doesn't change on Monday....LOL Thank you for sharing your experiences!!!

Surgery date is good. The "All in" approach is a good mindset. I made myself a heart warrior play list and one of my songs on it is "All In" by Mathew West.
