Diagnosed with AFIB in 2011 & noted an Aortic Root Aneurysm was present. I had the former corrected with ablation in 2015. My aneuurysm was closely watched over the years and in October 2018, it had reached a dimension of 55cm which triggered the need to have it surgically addressed. Since the aneurysm was so close to my Aortic Valve, the valve was impacted and was not able to be spared. The procedure I had performed was the Bentall Procedure on 11/15/18. 13 days later, here I am in the recovery phase of this event.
