I had two valves replaced,(aortic and mitral) one valve fixed (tricuspid) and a clip for afib placed on my heart in October of 2024. (I now have a pig valve and a cow valve!) I didn't get to start rehab till Feb. 2025 because I had pleural effusion. I had to have it drained three times. Pulmonologist said I had about 6 liters of fluid around my left lung! The lung didn't open completely….so sometimes I feel a little short of breath. But it's getting better. I just get really frustrated when I'm walking on the treadmill and they slow me down…or stop me. I feel like I should be able to do better…..but then I'm reminded that it takes time to heal…..especially with all that I had done! I need to remember that…it takes time!
