Robert Miller See a couple of articles below. I don't think much has changed but I am not sure. Bi-leaflets seems the most popular. The San Jude ones are around for a long time and seem pretty popular. Medtronic ones aren't something to sneeze at, either. The biggest issue is still being on bloodthinner. Walferin still seems the way to go but other options are being looked at. This is for mitral valve replacements.

Robert Miller Maybe I read this a bit too quickly. It looks like @Scott Rayborne is asking about mechanical/artificial HEARTS, not mechanical valves. I have no idea about this and a quick search in the learning center didn't bring anything up.
