Just shy of 6 weeks out for Aortic valve-sparing root replacement and a single bypass LIMA-LAD. I can definitely say that my energy is getting better with the occasional nap in the afternoon. Walking more each day. For those that are up for surgery, you will do great!

Mike - It's definitely a little overwhelming to get the play by play, but on 8/30, show up, take a quick nap, wake up to the world's greatest ice chips! It'll feel like only a moment has passed! Try to stay "mentally" occupied with something else until game day and... Read more.

With Michael mercier (https://www.heart-valve-surgery.com/journals/mystory/michaelmercier) post about second opinion has got me thinking that I probably should as well, especially since the thoracic surgeon I was referred to is semi-retired now. Anyone here in Colorado, preferably the Metro Denver area?
