Over the past few years I've become more tired each day. It all started a couple of years ago when I noticed that I was getting dizzy and very short of breath. When I would go to the doctor they had just told me after taking several MRIs X-rays and CT scans that I had fluid around my lungs. After two attempts to have the fluid removed it was unsuccessful so they just figured that I had pneumonia and was put on several different antibiotics. My husband I went to Medford which is three and a half hours from our home and because of the emissions regulations in California we had to go there to pick up his riding lawn mower. Immediately after entering Home Depot I passed out . When I woke up I was in the ambulance. They took me to Medford Hospital and ran all sorts of tests finally deciding that I wouldn't make it through a heart surgery due to the high pressure around my heart it was 135 and if it was normal it would be 25. They flew me to Stanford University where I had open heart surgery to replace two valves. After a couple of days I found that I had a external pacemaker they told me this could be temporary so I kept my fingers crossed and prayed a lot. After about three days they told me that I needed an pacemaker. After a total of three and a half weeks in the hospital I can say that I'm at home and feeling pretty good still having a lot of pain around the incisions but was told this would be expected. I was so fortunate to have passed out in Oregon and taken to their Hospital thank God for the doctors that were educated enough to realize that I would have died had they not sent me to Stanford University. Thank God for letting me be at my granddaughters graduation!!
