I just joined on behalf of my husband who had successful TAVR surgery on 8/2/21 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. As his wife I am trying to help with healthier eating, urging him on in his Cardiac Rehab, and also thinking about some worrisome heart symptoms I myself am having that I need to ask my doctor to look into. I'm 5 years younger than Ed, but I don't feel like a spring chicken myself anymore. Reading through this amazing site, from information including detailed, understandable diagrams, to doctor insights, to patient interviews, I am awestruck over the progress we've made in medicine and the positivity of patients who went from not feeling well to getting treatment, rehab, and a bright future. Thank you, creators and contributors, for this superlative forum! As a support group, I do not see how it can be topped! Thank you all, fellow participants!
