You will be amazing- and it seems our surgeries have become routine. My mom had her aortic valve replaced when she was 80 and lived until she was 91 And her heart was not the reason for her death. She was a great example for me. I had it done... Read more.

You are right! There are wonderfully trained people out there who do these surgeries everyday. And even tho it is hard to believe , most of these heart surgeries are considered "routine". Good for you to be over the worry and panic. I wish I had stressed less in the... Read more.

Hello Lise, So glad your wait is almost over as your surgery date approaches. You will do well, it will be fine. I am 11 weeks post op mitral valve repair and feel fine. Just feel so fortunate that the mitral valve problem was found so early.
