Hello all,
Should be feeling better? I could use some feedback / guidance.
I was born with a bicuspid Aortic valve. I had my aortic valve replaced on 2/14/25. It was a minimally invasive procedure. I am reasonably fit and have exercised my whole life.
I'm 7 month out of surgery and I still don't feel right. I get winded easily, I'm tried a lot, working out is really hard, I always feel a bit lightheaded especially when getting up or down (positional). My chest feels tight from time to time.
I've my Brian and Heart scanned, done blood work, etc. Everything looks good. No regurgitation, no signs of stroke, blood pressure is normal, resting heart rate in normal range.
I'm curious if there are folks out there in a similar situation - where everything checks out but your still suffering from symptoms like fatigue, shortness of breath, tightness, etc. I would love to hear from you!

Geoff Curtis I had my bicuspid replaced 10/15/24 & I sometimes (although it's getting less and less) get the same feelings. I've had ocular migraines a lot since surgery, but they've also gotten less and less. I still see light streaks every day, but I've exhausted Dr's and vision specialists as well as having my carotid checked. I do still get some tightness in my chest, but again they get less and less. I think time is the ultimate healer & it should get better. take care of yourself and hope you can take breaks as needed.
