Hi All, My name is Justin Daniels and I am new to the community. On July 1st, 2013, I had Open Heart Surgery to fix a congenital Bicuspid Aortic Valve. The surgery was successful and allowed me to live my normally life with no limitations. Doctors successfully replaced my valve with a 27mm bovine valve. Now 7 years later, my bio prosthetic valve as rapidly begun to calcify and I will require another open heart within the next few weeks. At this juncture, I am NOT considering a mechanical valve or a TAVR. I am either going to be getting a new tissue valve to replace my current tissue valve or getting a “Ross Procedure”. I am reaching out to the community looking to connect with anyone that had the procedure or knows someone who had the procedure. I am strongly considering this option but it is not as widely accepting in the industry. I am looking for some first person perspective. Thank you all. Justin.
