Haven't posted since completing the couch to 5K program. After completing the program (timed runs, not the full 5K), I've been gradually stretching out the distance until I was able to get to a full 5K run. I'm slow but I can run at a constant pace for the full distance now. So today we had an annual "Turkey Trot" in town and I decided to give it a go. Made the full distance and kept an even pace for the entire race, albeit a slow one. Was happy with this especially given that my usual course is flat and this one had some moderate hills, which were not especially fun in the last mile. Never been a runner and I don't love it like so many runners do, but wanted to check this off the list given that I started. Not sure where I'll go from here but I think I'll continue running a few times per week and maybe try to build up a little better pace. Of course, it's getting cold in the northeast so transitioning back to indoors may be in my future and I hate running on a treadmill so who knows what's next.
