Yes. I talked to the doctor. He said that I shouldn't be concerned as it was a brief episode. I am taking Magnesium and it seems to be helping with palpitations in general and he said that was a good thing. Still scary and I'm not sure if I'm reassured... Read more.

Does anyone have epicardial pacing wires retained following OHS. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks after my OHS and they said that they couldn't remove the pacing wires but cut them off close to my skin so they would retract into my chest. Now I have a lump... Read more.

The doc was able to pull my temporary pacer wires out a couple days post op. Sometimes the pacing wires don't come out easily, and it is deemed less risky to leave them in. In that case, the wire is clipped close to the skin surface. I know several people... Read more.
