Hello everyone. I found out a few months ago that I have three prolapsed valves; the mitral, aortic, and the tricuspid. All considered mild. I am having trouble finding information on multiple valves/triple. I have been sick for over nine months. I finally got my doctor to send me to another cardiologist. My doctor also suggested a neurologist. The neurologist did a tilt table test. And I have been told I also have postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. My question is does this have anything to do with my three valves? Because everything I read is says it is usually a secondary illness but does not list the heart and others list it as an autoimmune disease.
Symptoms: Fainting, dizziness, sharp and cramping chest pains left side, left side of face and left arm feels like its going to sleep or they are not getting oxygen, headaches, palpitations, pressure in neck/throat, behind eyes, and in head. I even feel as I am not getting oxygen to my brain. Finally the feeling that my heart is being thrown against my chest wall.
Test I had done: Tilt table test, holter monitor(had some afib, but not enough to be significant), stress test(normal) ekg(normal), echo.
Thanks for any info

Ed Miskovic Hi Jenny, I had a Tilt Table test a few years before developing Aortic Valve Stenosis. The symptoms were a pre-fainting feeling while exercising (whole body style). Treatment was a beta blocker to lower heart rate to encourage upward blood flow from my legs. It was diagnosed by a cardiologist as Vasovagal Syncope while exercising. None of my present cardiac team seem to pay any undue attention to it. Ironically when I get the same feeling now the doctors attribute the feeling to the aortic valve stenosis. When I took a Stress Echo Test, I failed it because my blood pressure dropped while I was exercising. Hopefully these issues will go away after surgery. Hope this helps. The best to you.
Jenny Reed Mr. Miskvic,
Thank you for the response. I hope you are doing well and your surgery goes well.
