Valerie Allen My BP was high but controlled for many years before surgery. After surgery I was on a reduced BP meds but it crept up. The cardiologist increased my Valsartan several times then when I had a high potassium reading he sent me to a nephrologist/BP specialist who changed my meds adding a diuretic and cutting back the Valsartan. It is stabilized for now.

susan harris lots of people mention it here but i don’t think there’s a specific thread about it. it’s very new- 5 and 7 year data-i think so no long term durability data. COMMENCE was the trial and trial results on clinical trials.gov.

Mark Dreczkowski Hi Gregory, I had ohs 6 months ago, and had my bicuspid aortic valve replaced with an Inspiris Resilia valve. From my personal experience I've not had one single problem with it, and it's working perfectly. I've been told that it may last 15 years before I need it replaced. I would definitely recommend it, and it keeps you off blood thinners. Everyone is different though!!
Jennifer Holly Wow that is so reassuring. I am scheduled to get that valve next month.
Gregory Nihon Mark - Thank you so much. Do you mind my asking your age? Congrats on your progress
