5 years from my surgery... I am fine... Although I have some extra kilos.... But I am afraidaid for coronavirus affect... We have been closed to our home for a week waiting the worst to passfor a week now... Wait to the worst to pass pass.....

Three years after syrgery....three years of hope.....lost a lot of weight after hard work with my dietologist.....my right half of my heart almost recovered from the xl size it had before....feeling real good.....all syrgery pain and troubles almost gone.....listen your body and choose when it is time to fix any heath matters....

Feeling good but getting tired easily. Did anyone had high heart rate about 100 constantly when sitting home ( without taking medicine)? Is this often?

Hello to all of you. I am 12 weeks post and today I felt for first time since then arrythmia . does anyone had arrythmia again after surgery? My hearth rate still over 110 .I supposed that after three months it would decrease to 70-80. Anyone similar situation? Thanks for listening. My breath disorder seems to be better than a month ago, pneumonologist said.

Ericka Carlson Try taking magnesium taurate, it definitely won't hurt but may help!

Bob M Recoveries and heart rates and timing are all different. Listen to your body and your cardiologist.

After two months of surgery i still have pain on my incision and a glinh glong sound . any one had something like that? I can walk 2 kilometres in slow rhythm . I breath sometimes with annoyance in my chest due to pneumonia I passed. Looking only for good day of recovery.

Lenore Mitchell Greg - it takes awhile for incisional pain to completely go away. Hang in there, keep walking slowly and you'll gradually feel better. Did you say you have pneumonia now or previously? That would definitely affect how you're feeling.

Rhonda Rawles I didn't have pneumonia but did spend a little over 3 weeks in the CVICU then just a few days in the step down room before going to the rehab floor for about a week so about 5 weeks in all. Not the most fun I ever had but I'm feeling great now about 16 weeks out from that big surgery day and am in Rehab Phase 2 now. Good luck to you, it will feel great but a bit scary leaving the hospital.

Virginia (Ginger) French Greg, you are doing your best to care for the family you love. Try to replace your anxiety with the thought that in doing what you are, with the support of your wife, you are giving the greatest gift you ever can to your family -- the gift of a longer and healthier life with them.

Three weeks will be a short amount of time compared to the time you will all have together afterwards. Give yourself permission to relax and build your faith and an attitude that will give you strength in the days to come. And ask them to pray with/for you.

What a blessing to have such a loving family!

You will be fine. Say this to yourself every time a moment of negativity or anxiety comes over you. Because it is the Truth -- you WILL be fine. So many of us will be lifting you in prayer!

Lenore Mitchell Ok Greg, as I just wrote to Debbie, it's normal to have fears during the pre op wait. But as so many others have said on this site, we all got through not only the wait but then the surgery and the recovery too. It does help to see what the rest of us have been through. Good luck. Everyone's story is different, and yet there are commonalities too, so keep absorbing the stories here.
