After almost six years my Direct Flow Bovine leaflet Aortic Valve by Salus has failed. I thought at the time it was a good pick because i read about another valve that had a 30% failure rate. So to make a long story short, i have been going thru tests as an outpatient and will find out if the Doctors can help me thru another Tavr on June 1st 2022. I turned 80 years old and i am in good health but i don"t know if it would be a Tavr or a Savr if possible. At this time i can"t walk to the car or throw out the garbage without heavy breathing and getting out of breath. I go everywhere in a wheelchair outside of the house.The leaflets are the problem with this valve otherwise it had really worked well. I had read that this company was financed thru China and China dropped out of the program and so it was discontinued. this was in 2016 right after i received it and it was"nt known of a problem at the time until recently. The article i read said after five or six years the valve was faltering because of the cow made leaflets. When i find out what will happen i let you all know, Frank.
