Hi Adam, Thanks for the guest blog from Christine Wagner. I'm trying to gather as much information as possible about surgery, the realistic challenges and considerations. For everyone else, I am in the process of making a final decision about TAVR vs. SAVR. I have a bicuspid aortic valve and A-fib. According to the report I received after my team met last week, I am a candidate for TAVR, but it also sounds as though the surgeon is in favor of the SAVR in order to address my A-fib. Right now I have a significant amount of FUD - fear, uncertainty and doubt. If anyone has suggestions as to how they made this decision, I'd be grateful for the input. It sounds like Adam's book is a great place to start. Thanks!
