Looks Good! Surprised you went to Germany though when David Adams is at Mount Sinai in New York. That dude is the alleged guru of Mistral valve repair. Was it just because of insurance? I am having the same surgery Aug 3rd. How is the recovery 8 days out.

You are right Dan, Dr. Adams is one of the best in the world, but I really wanted to avoid the cracked sternum, and also my surgeon is considered one of the best in Europe. I have insurance but I still chose to go to Germany mainly because of the... Read more.

Didi, your incisions look great. Glad you are doing so well. Do you have any pain on your right side? I had a mitral valve repair through a mini-thoracotomy (a larger incision then normal due to a difficult repair) & I could not believe how painful it was. They say... Read more.

Yes Petey, my right side was sore and sensitive. Still is, but getting better every day. Do you feel like you are back to your old self at this point?

mini-thoracotomy surgeon says not more than 3 inches as far as he can tell now unless something changes when he gets in.
