Happy Spring too, Chuck! When I saw your photo with three pillows my initial thought was that your hospital gave your three pillows. But nope, you had three separate surgeries. Total gladiator status. Can't imagine. I may have to have my mitral valve redone some day due to all the calcification on it, would you mind telling me how it felt the second and third time around? Stay well and may you never see your cardiac surgeon ever again! ❤️😊

Deena Z you asked (years ago) about how surgery felt the 2nd and 3rd time around. Took a long time to reply huh? Sorry! For the 2nd time around I was so sick it was mostly a blur and was induced coma for 3 or 4 days after so some of that recovery was not part of my memory. It took a long time for recovery from that as I was very sick and very deconditioned from infection. The 3rd surgery was 9 months after the 2nd and I was ready for it in my mind. I did cardiac rehab all 3 times and that was a life saver. I am not sure how to describe the "pain or feeling" other than knowing what I went thru the first time and knowing that I was in the right place and blessed enough to even get the change to recover when some do not.
