Good morning! I am 5 months post op for the Ross procedure. It’s been a long road and am still getting my energy back. I went back to work about 2 months post and have been super busy since then so I haven’t had a chance to get back on here and update! I can finally run again which it has been about 10 years since that has happened so I am slowly making progress! Providence has been such an amazing support for the cardiac rehab. All the staff at UW was amazing, Dr Burke and his team did such an amazing job on my surgery. I did have challenges with my blood pressure meds trying to figure it out but other than that the healing has been so good! I was so scared leading up to my procedure but this group helped me feel so much better I appreciate everyone who reached out before and helped ease my mind!
Autumn Stuart This was me last month at the aquarium! ❤️

John Cook I feel great & I’m happy to be done with doctors for a few months. I’m back to normal for everything except exercise.
Exercise is still around 85% of pre-surgery. I’m assuming that’s because they narrowed my aortic root as part of my surgery and my heart has to work harder now.

Good morning! This will be my second OHS and will be having the Ross procedure to correct my prosthetic mismatch. Anyone have any experience with the Ross procedure? My first surgery went pretty smoothly so I am praying it’s the same for this one.
Exercise is still around 85% of pre-surgery. I’m assuming that’s because they narrowed my aortic root as part of my surgery and my heart has to work harder now.
How’s your exercise coming along?
