I had my mitral valve replacement surgery 2 weeks ago and things are going good so far. I have been able to walk more and more with more ease and less breathlessness. I'm just wondering if anyone has suffered and mood swings or depression after surgery? I had heard it can happen but I've never had surgery like this before so i don't know. I have been staying with my parents until I am able to go home and take care of myself, but I miss being home with my kids and husband. I am torn about staying with my parents and healing or going home and being with my family. I am so stressed about this and don't know what to do.
